Licence for Creo Elements
Hi,
I'm using Creo Elements Direct Express for personal / not for profit usage.
It does most of the things I need it to do.
I use PTC Creo (ProE) at work.
Is there any advantage to upgrading to Creo Elements Direct Professional for my home usage?
Does the License prevent me using Creo Elements Direct Express (Professional) for paid work?

Basic data types
Hi~
I want to progamm add-on application of gear hobbing using the CoCreate/SolidDesigner Integration Kit.
But I met some questions about the basic data types in Modeling sofeware environment.
Just like point (gpnt3d or gpnt2d), direction , vector , position , u-vector , gpntwc , etc.
Does anybody could help me to explain them , and what difference between them?

"Cannot Update View because of an internal error or signal"
I am trying to create a partial view off of a model in annotation, and when I try to update it, I get an error that says, "Cannot Update View because of an internal error or signal." I have done this with plenty of other models/views, so not sure what the problem is.

Is the world coordinate (gpntwc) dynamic or static in the viewport?
I draw two construction point on the WP. and then move one point to the other point position.
The whole process recorded by loading recorder.

I found that the point world coordinate not the same.
Is the world coordinate (gpntwc) dynamic or static in the viewport?

Is there a way in V17 to make a quilt a solid part?
When we bring assemblies in from ProE or solidworks to Creo V17, sometimes we get these quilts that are automatically turned off, and we have to go through the entire assembly looking for them to turn them on. When we finish for the day, save the assembly, and close Creo, the quilts are off again when we reopen the assembly. Does anyone know how to keep them on (some preference we can set) or a way to change them to solid parts? I found on the PTC site a way to solidify them, but we haven't been able to find the commands in our version of Creo (V17 or V19).

LISP for part rolling a angle by step
Hi~
I programed a LISP for a blank to roll one angle 0.9° step by step.( see the attachment LISP file)
Because position_pa command is a terminate action,so I use sd-call-cmds function in the LISP program.
When I ran the program to roll the part 0.9°，actually rolled angle was 51.566202°.
Does anybody could tell me why?
How can I achieve my purpose to roll 0.9° step by step?

Creo Elements / Direct - Model Manager v20.0
Hi all,
We have been using Model Manager v17.0 for 5 years. We don't use any other module of PTC Creo as we are using Siemens Solid Edge as our CAD software.
We think that it is time to update Model Manager but we'd like to wait to v20.0.
I have found some info about PTC Creo E/D v20.0 but all news about Model Manager that I can find is about tools to migrate to Windchill but none about developing of v20.0.
Do you know if Model Manager v20.0 is going to be developed?
Should we migrate to Windchill?

sd-return-to-model-checkpoint function
Hi~
I had programed one add-on apllication and used sd-set-model-checkpoint and sd-return-to-model-checkpoint functions to do return to the initial model state.When I to do that several time,the dialog pushing OK or CANCEL buttons did not to terminate the dialog and Modeling gave a Error message as below.
Could anybody tell me why?

creo direct 3.0 basic license.
I have creo direct basic license. I am not able to add new planes for sections. Anyone from ptc can explain me the reason? Is there are any licensed where functional capabilities are reduced to this much extend?

Total quantity in Bom List
If i import for example 10 times a bolt from the modelmanager into the 3d model and i want to create a bom list to put onto the drawing the total quantity of these bolts is 0 (zero), how can i solve this so that the total quantity is right

But I want to output contents of chinese_tradional.
How can I change the lisp ?
I thought that chinese is not the same code with english.
But I don't know how can I chang the lisp

Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.0 is available to download and 21.0 plan is out
Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 21.0 release plan is 2018.3 referring http://support.ptc.com/cs/product_calendar/PTC_Product_Calendar.htm.
But there is few enhancements in V20.0 referring to https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS237747. Hope will add more enhancements into V21.0
