How can I save pkg like save of creo function
I have a question that I always save my part and cover other file. I open my file to continue designing my project,but I always forgot where I open my file and what is my file name.
I know that Proe have two save function.(save and save a copy) I think that Creo Elements/Direct. has save function like "save a copy" in creo.But I need function like save. It let me not look for file path and remember file name.

regeneration fixes
Why is it that we have to regenerate 3 times to get the green light?
You would think that PTC would be able to resolve this.

red X on close window icon
PTC always changes icons too, and one that causes me issues anyway, is the "close window" icon.
There use to be a red X in it, and not it looks too much like other file icons.
The workaround is to create your own mapkey to fix it as PTC does not allow you to edit system icons.
PLEASE put the red X back in the close window icon. This makes it very easy to see and understand what it is for.

Locking parts in Creo Elements Drafting
Among thousands of other things that Drafting is unbelievably terrible with part locking feature is one of the most critical one. Why heck you cant lock part so you cant accidentally move it when working at the top level??? All normal CAD programs have an option to lock the layer so it is visible and even"snapable", but user cannot edit it or move it. This is the one of million other things that is extremely annoying... and PTC wants $3K for it - it is just #@!$ ridiculous!

Problem obtaining license for CREO Elements
Hello. I recently downloaded CREO Elements, following the steps provided by my instructor. Creo installed successfully. However, when I open the program, an error message appears:
It appears that the license failed to download. When I close the window, Creo closes along with it. How can I obtain the licence?
(My school is asociated with Creo and I have created an account with PTC as well.)

Installation of Creo 2.0 M090 32 bit on 64 bit os

Our IT Team has single installer for 32 and 64 bit OS and based on system configuration, 32 bit or 64 bit creo 2.0 is getting installed.

Problem to shell , Probleme beim schalen

I have some experience with other Cad (ViaCad), but i am a beginner with PTC Creo Elements. Here is my first model:
If I try to shell it with a hole in the marked position (coloured ring in the picture), I get the message:
Bei Erstellung der Schale wurde(n) 8 Fläche(n) gelöscht. Es wurde ein zusätzliches Flächenteil erstellt. Sie können es u. U. zum manuellen Erstellen eines Schalenteils verwenden, oder Sie ermitteln die Problembereiche im Originalteil.
So I have no hole and i am not able to make one.
In ViaCad, I make one click an it is shelled.
For me, it seems to be a very simple modell for shelling.
What goes wrong?

Balloon Creation in Pro/E WF 5.0
Dear Friends,
I am currently working in Creo Elements WF 5.0. I am facing an issue in detailing procedure, especially drafting. While creating Balloon notes, I am able to define the balloon radius globally by altering the "min_balloon_radius" and "max_balloon_radius". But I need to change the balloon radius individually. Kindly guide me on how to change the balloon radius individually.
Please note : This is not a BOM balloon.

Creo Elements am a new user in the program. Planning & top because there is also so good I'm writing using google translation. I apologize for the inconvenience. However, as much about the program can not find the source. I have encountered a problem with our esteemed users want to consult the marrow.
I'm doing as part of Parametric drawings. However, I draw a very long piece measuring tool when using the measure-digit numbers involved. How can I solve this problem? How to find a released model with missing PDF
Hi,
I have a question from a customer that has problems with generating PDF-files when releasing a model/drawing.
How can one make a search in ModelManager DB to show all released models without (or with) a generated PDF within a certain timespan.

load model with lisp out of windchill 10.2
Is there anybody who has a good working lisp code to load a model from windchill 10.2? I can't find anything in the integration kit and sd-db-element-load only works with model manager.

Pipe Thread Table for Machining Module
I have customized our table of threaded hole sizes for the machining module in order to customize the way threaded holes are called out in Annotation. Currently I have just UNF, UNC, and metric sizes. I now need to add NPT (national pipe thread) and BSP (british standard pipe thread) sizes to our table. Does anyone have the table for these thread sizes for me to add to my customization file? These may be in the out of the box machining module however I can't seem to find the default table of thread sizes for the module.

Error loading database (Workmanager)
This just started a day ago. We have been using this program and system for 5+ years with no problem. Error message that the engineers are getting when they try to start up the Model Manager. "could not connect to database server: (name of our server) The error code at the bottom of the detailed summary is. Error Messages = 10002 - ***ERROR: Failure in communication to server. As far as we know we have not made any changes other than Microsoft updates which we have backed out the latest ones, which did not fix this issue. Any help here? we do not have a service contract at this time.

Creo Elements Pro 5.0 Student Edition - Installation Error
I am attempting to install Creo Elements Pro 5.0 Student Addition and I get the following error:
PTC setup is unable to complete the installation since it is unable to find the particular datecode required. Please contact PTC Tech Support Hotline for assistance. MED-60694-CD-370.
How do I proceed? How do I contact the hotline?

I currently have Creo 2.0 installed on my PC and I have just got Creo 3.0 ready to be installed... My question is can I have Creo 2.0 AND Creo 3.0 installed on the same PC?

Creo Elements Express (free version), DXF export available?
Perhaps I missed it while searching and going thru the help files or it is not an option?
I like the .stl export function, however a dxf export would be nice as well....if not I guess I shouldn't complain for a pretty decent free program.
